MONICA cook

Monica is a lover of life and all things that remind us of our connection to the divine and each other. She is a mother of three young men, life partner to her best friend, a certified yoga teacher, coach, entrepreneur, reiki master, meditation facilitator, athlete, to name a few.
Monica loves adventure and seeking life outside the box. Her passion for yoga has led her to embracing and embodying a life filled with more self love and joy so she can share that gift with others on and off the mat.

Tuesday offering is Slow Flow Vinyasa. In this slow flow vinyasa style yoga class we link intention, breath and movement in a functional, alignment-based way. Just as in any class, yoga should be playful and fun, however, because it’s a slower flowing class, we can explore our body and how it responds/reacts to certain postures and the emotions we carry with us in a safe, nurturing environment.

Thursday offering is Therapeutic Yoga. Therapeutic yoga is a gentle, self-nurturing class. During the first half of class we explore gentle movement to warm up the body, connect to our breath, and find shapes that increase strength and flexibility. For the second half of class we find stillness in restorative postures where we allow our bodies to relax, reset and restore on a cellular level. Essential oils, sound chimes, tuning forks and reiki are also offered to create a more relaxed and soothing environment.
